Swechcha began her literary journey at age 18 with her debut novel Pakhalieko Siundo (Washed Vermillion), a powerful exploration of the emotional and social struggles of Sandhya, a Nepalese woman confronting pain, resilience, and human trafficking. The novel was republished in 2024 under the revised title Seto Siundo. It is currently being translated into English by the author herself.
In 2024, she released Rose’s Odyssey: Tales of Love and Loss, the English translation of her short story collection Gulafsangako Prem, capturing human relationships and diasporic longing. She has also co-edited acclaimed anthologies including The Himalayan Sunrise: Exploring Nepal’s Literary Horizon and A Glimpse Into My Country: An Anthology of International Short Stories.
